Alycia Noriega

Alycia Alice Noriega, 33, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023. Alycia was born December 30, 1989, in Topeka, the daughter of Tim Noriega and Pamela Tremblay. She attended Seaman schools. Alycia graduated from Seaman High School in 2008 where she served as FCCLA president, was on the golf and track teams and excelled in debate because of her persuasive nature. She attended Allen County Community College and Brown-Mackie College before transferring to Washburn University. Alycia recently earned her amateur ham radio license; her call sign was KF0NSM. Alycia was a member of First Congregational Church. She was a dispatcher for Kansas Sand and Concrete and previously was employed by Prairie Band Casino and Resort, where she met the love of her life, her fiancé, Amos Ingels. Alycia was a wonderful mother who loved fiercely and was protective of her family and friends. She had amazing energy and when she entered a room it got loud. She loved music and dancing. She enjoyed bowling with family and friends. She liked going to the races with Amos. Alycia was a bright light who wanted everyone to be happy and could find the good in everything; she made the world a better place. Her presence will be greatly missed. Grateful to have shared Alycia’s life are her children, Mia Reneé Carroll and Zoey Christine Ingels, Aiden and Elijah Carroll, and her niece, Nova Athena Ingels; her fiancé, Amos Ingels; her parents, Pam and Skeeter Tremblay and Tim and Elizabeth Noriega; her siblings, Austin Tremblay (Mallory and with nephew on the way), Alex Tremblay and Elena Noriega; her grandparents, Jose and Carol Noriega, Steve and Ann Gross, Jackie Meiries and Karen Ingels; her fiancé’s parents, Darrell and Christi Ingels; and his siblings, Ramzey, Keena and Kiona Ingels; her uncles and aunts, Mark Deckenbach (Teresa), Janet Luehring, John Deckenbach, Tena Bouton (DeWayne), Terry Noriega (Marci), Debbie Hunter (Gene), Brenda Hardin (Garry) and Patty Tremblay; and many great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins and friends. Alycia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter Deckenbach, Judith Johnson and Daniel Tremblay; Mia’s father, Christopher T. Carroll; and her aunt, Nancy Taylor. Family will greet friends Monday, November 6, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alycia Noriega Memorial Fund, for the benefit of her children, and sent in care of the funeral home or dropped off at GN Bank, Holton, Kansas.
