Donna Gabrick

Donna Marie Gabrick, 62, Topeka, Kansas, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, November 17, 2023. Donna was born December 2, 1960, to Loyal and Nancy Fisher Rees in Topeka, Kansas. She grew up in Topeka and graduated from Topeka West High School in 1978. Donna met and dated Michael Gabrick for a couple years before getting married on April 29, 1983, celebrating their 40th anniversary earlier this year. In her early years, she worked in retail at K-Mart. She attended Fellowship Bible Church and was a part of a Women’s Bible Study Group. Donna enjoyed cooking meals and desserts for her family and friends, especially her famous cookies that were adored by all. Most importantly though, Donna was a passionate and caring homemaker and grandmother. From working the scoreboard at her daughter’s games even though she had no previous interest in sports, to caring for her parents as they got older, Donna was too busy serving her family and taking care of others to have time for many hobbies of her own. She will be greatly missed. Donna is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Adam Gabrick and Amanda (Matthew) Rice; grandchildren, Khristian, Aiden, Olivia, Zaden, Bennett, and Henry; sisters, Debra Ross and DeeAnna Dean; siblings-in-law, Rob Gabrick and LeAnne Jones; nieces and nephews, Lindsay (James) McDonald, Jarod Mosiman, Jerra (Mike) Torres, Jaydee Dean, Ashley Gabrick, Justin Gabrick, Thomas Gabrick, Crystal Jones and Alyssa Jones; and many grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Darlene Peavler; parents-in-law, Michael and JoAnne Gabrick; and brother-in-law, Mark Ross. Family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 21st, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 22nd, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Donna's funeral service will be livestreamed on the funeral home's Facebook page.
