Brianna Barkemeyer

Brianna Barkemeyer, 24, of Topeka, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021, surrounded by her family. Brianna was born on July 17, 1997, to Trisha Ramirez and Kenneth Thompson. She attended Holy Family Catholic School and graduated from Topeka High in 2016. Brianna was nicknamed Little Ms. B by her grandpa the day she was born. She never forgot that and always referred to herself as Queen B as she got older. Brianna loved to write and read poetry. She had a knack for putting her thoughts into powerful words. Brianna also enjoyed making jokes and getting people to laugh with her orneriness. Brianna dearly loved her son Carter and her family. Carter was her pride and joy. Brianna also loved spending time with her boyfriend Isiah and his children Kaydence and Kameron. Grateful to have shared her life are her son, Carter; parents, Trisha and Bill Ramirez; siblings, Alexis, Daniel, Anthony and Diane; nieces, Ariana, Ava and Samantha; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Rosary will be prayed at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 2nd, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where family will greet friend following until 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, January 3rd, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 NE Freeman Ave, Topeka KS 66616. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trisha Ramirez, to assist Brianna’s son, and sent in care of the funeral home.
