Julie was born August 3, 1964, in Topeka, the daughter of Richard and Bonnie Gerety Schneider. She graduated from Hayden High School in 1982. Julie worked for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing pool, attending country music concerts and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, she loved waitressing, and she made several life-long friends chatting with patrons at many beloved local eats including Por'e Richards, Specks, and North Star Steakhouse. Julie is survived by her daughters, Sabrina Fannin-Hughes (Ian), Chelsea, Jessica and McKenna Fannin; grandchildren, Avery and Oliver Fannin-Hughes and Jace Algarin; mother, Bonnie; and sisters, Lisa Nioce (Paul) and Janet Schneider; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 21st, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Foundation Cancer Center, and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
