Larry Dean Mathews, 73, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on February 3, 2022. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Masks are required. Larry was born in Manhattan, Kansas on August 1, 1948. He was a graduate of Manhattan High School and Washburn University, Topeka. Larry married Robin Keith on September 2, 1988; they were married 33 years. Larry worked in information technology for the State of Kansas for 42 years. He enjoyed traveling, trap shooting and all things Disney. Larry is survived by his wife Robin; daughter, Lori Mathews; sisters, Sheila Mathews, Vonda Mathews, and Vida Mathews; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Glendola Wilson Mathews and by his brother, Edward Mathews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission or to the Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of the funeral home.
