Mark Stubbs Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mark Evan Stubbs, 67, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022. Mark was born February 14, 1955, in Topeka the son of Merle and Patricia Rath Stubbs. He attended Stout Elementary, Jardine Junior High and graduated from Topeka High School in 1973. Mark earned degrees in business and mechanical engineering from the University of Kansas. Mark and Cindy Grimshaw were married December 28, 1984; she survives. He was a senior engineer at Allied Aerospace in Kansas City for nine years before leaving that industry to pursue a business with his family, the Party America Store in Topeka. Mark retired in 2019 after 27 years of business. In retirement he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and training his springer spaniel, Jack. Also grateful to have shared Mark’s life are his daughter, Carly Stubbs (Alfredo Martinez); his granddaughter, Penelope; brother, Michael Stubbs; aunt, Rhonda Brenzikofer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Teresa. A Celebration of Mark’s life will be Friday, July 1, 11 a.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to KDWPT (Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism) and sent in care of the funeral home.
