Patricia Ann Christie, 96, Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2022. Patricia was born January 13, 1926, at Horton, Kansas to Edward and Oda Dorei Schuetz. She graduated from Powhattan High School in 1944 and worked in a dress factory and J.C. Penney’s before moving to Topeka in 1950, where she worked for Hallmark’s and a garment company. On September 15, 1951, Patricia married Wayne Christie. They had four children; Jeanene, Dirk, Marsheila Dana (Doug) and Tracee, all of Topeka. Pat leaves six grandchildren: Michael, Rhiannon, James (Lisa), Chris (Rebecca), Brian and Breanna; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pat is survived by her children and sister-in-law, Darlene Christie Bruns. She was preceded in death in 2008 by her husband, Wayne, her parents, five brothers, Walter, Floyd, Howard, Vic and Ralph; and five sisters, Thelma, Fernie, Phyllis, Wilma and a baby sister. Family will greet friends from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where the rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
