Upon his return home Steve married his reason for living, Mary (Frenn) Hohman. They were married for 51 years. He loved his wife and daughters and enjoyed watching them grow up. He was the owner and proprietor of Southwest Bowling Alley and Shops for many years. In 1986 Steve sold the business and retired in order to care for his daughter, Kathleen and wife, Mary. Steve is survived by his wife, Mary; and his children, Kathleen Hohman, and Christina “Christy” Sheetz. Steve is also survived by three granddaughters, Allison Sheetz, Victoria “Annie” Sheetz, and Emily Sheetz. The rosary will be prayed at 9 a.m. Thursday, January 27, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, following which his family will greet friends until 10 a.m. The funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m. at the Church. Steve will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TARC or Hayden Catholic High School, and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
