Elijah Alejos

Elijah David Alejos, 18, Topeka, Kansas, left this world and entered the Kingdom of Heaven, wrapped in the Lord’s arms, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Elijah was born on December 10, 2005, in Topeka. Elijah was a key piece in our family; a son to Matthew Alejos and Sarah Howe Alejos; a brother to Isaac and Joey Alejos; a grandson to Mary Stafford (Lloyd), Christopher Alejos, and Lawrence Howe (Sandra). Elijah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Peggy “Gamma” Howe. He was a beloved nephew and cousin. Elijah was loved by those who knew him from the moment he was born. He was not only exceedingly kind, but also a sensitive soul who loved everyone around him. By living this way it allowed him to love big and make others happy. Elijah encapsulated Peace, Love and Happiness. From a young age, Elijah enjoyed being in nature and would often explore the outdoors, including his trips to Colorado and Florida with his family, taking in the scenery from the mountains of Pikes Peak to the ocean in Cocoa Beach. Elijah loved playing board games and video games with his big brother Isaac as well as sneaking out and going to IHOP with his younger brother Joey. Elijah also enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and playing flashlight tag around the campgrounds with his cousins. Playing Bey Blades and watching movies were just a few things that made Elijah the “cool” older cousin to his little cousins. During Elijah’s junior year of high school, he applied for and received a grant to start the Hydroponic Garden at Tallgrass at Washburn Rural High School. Elijah graduated in May of 2024. Though his time on this earth was cut mercilessly short, Elijah loved his family, his dog Zeus, and he especially loved the Lord. Elijah David, you are deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, at Fellowship Bible Church, 6800 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS.
